Who Is RICC?

RICC is a group of people from all over the world, with different backgrounds and cultures, all gathered together here in Korea to worship Jesus Christ. As a church we are committed to the preaching and teaching of the Word of God: the Bible. Every Sunday we gather to worship Christ together in singing, reading, studying, responding to God's Word. Then we scatter back out into the city, committing to pray for and encourage each other as well as make an impact in our city for the Kingdom of God. During the week, we also have Life Groups that gather throughout the city of Busan for the purpose of community and discipleship.
Our Mission

Our Mission

We exist to make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ in Busan’s English speaking community and beyond. We want to see people treasure and enjoy God the Father through Christ the Son. This mission can be seen in and through our church in our Core Values.

Core Values

These are the beliefs and convictions that define the identity, purpose, and direction of our church
Worship

Man was ultimately created to worship God and enjoy Him forever. So we aim to connect people to their ultimate purpose through Christ-centered worship.

Discipleship

Jesus commanded that we make disciples of all nations teaching them to keep all that He has taught us. So we aim to fulfill His command by reproducing healthy, active followers of Christ who seek to make more disciples.

Service

The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve. We cannot give our life in the same manner as Christ did, but we aim to show the beauty of Christ giving our lives to serve others.

Multiplication

The early church spread like a wildfire and turned the world upside down. We are committed to the multiplication not only of disciples, but of missional-minded, gospel centered churches.

Gospel Centered

In all things we seek to be a gospel centered congregation. The gospel is the good news that through repentance from our sins and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ we are redeemed, accepted and loved by God the Father. Our acceptance before God and His love for us are not based on our righteousness but the righteousness that we receive from Jesus. Therefore in Jesus we are fully loved and fully accepted, and that truly is good news.

Therefore we believe that the gospel is the power of God to save and transform us. Furthermore, we see that most of our issues in life arise from failing to fully believe the gospel (the truth that we are fully loved and fully accepted because of Jesus). Therefore everything we seek to do as a church is about pointing us toward the gospel of Jesus Christ. Are we perfect? No, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are seeking together to better understand the gospel, because doing so brings a deeper awareness of how being redeemed in Christ changes everything about our life.

We invite you to come and be a part of this with us.
